They are Peppermint Plants.
Life Changing? Whaaaat? How can
OR
A peppermint mocha or a latte from Starbucks can be life changing?
According to Harvard University, School of Medicine, Maryland University, School of Medicine, and Livestrong.com, and my personal experience, Peppermint has known to be beneficial in several ways.
1. Reduces Bad Breath
Have you wondered why a lot of restaurants give mints after the meal? It is refreshing and kills the smell of all the food you just ate that might contribute to bad breath later. Peppermint eliminates the yucky, stinky odor of your mouth.
2. Weight-Loss
A study conducted at Wheeling Jesuit University, there is a correlation between weight-loss and Peppermint. Scent of Peppermint is known to suppress appetite. In this study, 40 people were asked "...to sniff Peppermint every two hours for five days, and then for five days [Wheeling Jesuit University] had them do the same with a placebo. During the period they sniffed Peppermint, they consumed 1,800 total fewer calories." (Beck) I am not suggesting that you sniff Peppermint; I think that is gross, but I suggest you add peppermint to your diet.
Warning: Peppermint is known to have side effects so consult with your physician if you have any existing medical condition, especially related to stomach, heart, and throat.
3. Brain Enhancer
In the same study mentioned above, researchers learned that the scent of Peppermint travels to the limbic system of the brain which is known to affect mood and hormones. Upon smelling Peppermint, the 40 people were motivated to get stuff done. The scent of Peppermint allows you to think positive and will motivate you to get your work, homework, cleaning, and other things on your agenda done!
Did you know that more and more teachers are using peppermint in their classroom across the nation? Well, they are.
FASHION AND BEAUTY AND PEPPERMINT?
Including Peppermint in your diet will allow you to be calm, prevent you from eating more than you should; therefore, will prevent you from gaining weight if not loosing, stimulate your brain to think positive and in turn will motivate you to be on top of your life by getting things done. What or who can bring you down when you look gorgeous, are on top of your profession and personal life, and handle the sour times of life with sweet and calm attitude? Peppermint herb is a God's gift to me and for some nature's gift. We must use it to our best advantage! =)

Personal Peppermint Experience:
I like to add Peppermint to my drinks or eat a candycane after meals. During the weekday, I like to start my day with either Peppermint Tea or Peppermint latte/Mocha from Starbucks. It really does get me going! Normally I will eat a candy cane or Peppermint candy either after dinner or lunch. Peppermint, in my case, does prevent me from eating more than I should I understand that too much of anything can be harmful so I tend to add it in my diet in moderate amounts! =)
Peppermint is my secret to start my day to a great start! What is your secret? What gets you going?
